Outpatient Program

Retrospective Solutions has recently opened its doors for its Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Sober Point.

Sober Point will be providing services to adolescents and adults in the Austin area who are seeking a co-occurring disorder (substance abuse & mental health related disorders) program.

Program Description
Sober Point is an 8-week intense treatment program consisting of 24 group sessions and 8 individual sessions for those who meet the admissions criteria. Since addiction is a family disease and affects the whole family, we require family involvement and education throughout the program. Family participation takes place each week to help the client maintain their recovery and effectively make a change in their lives.

We believe in building a firm foundation for relapse prevention with the components of the 12-step program and evidence-based clinical treatment methods. Our clients will take part in the following services:

  • Group counseling
  • Individual counseling
  • Family group
  • Relapse prevention
  • Education classes

IOP Counselors
Services at Sober Point will be provided by qualified counselors who are trained in the treatment of those suffering from substance abuse and mental health disorders. Services are provided by Lead Counselors and are assisted by Counselor Interns. Lead Counselors are fully licensed by the state of Texas and Counselor Interns hold a temporary license to practice by the state of Texas. Counselor Interns receive their permanent license after obtaining the required amount of hours.

Admissions
All potential clients are assessed for eligibility prior to admission and must meet clinical and medical criteria for entering any level of care. A comprehensive assessment consists of taking a personal and family history, a detailed history of alcohol and other drug use, assessing the progression of alcoholism and the severity of addiction, previous treatment experiences, and recording medical or psychological complaints.

Cost
We currently accept the following insurance plans: Traditional Medicaid, Amerigroup and Cenpatico.

We understand the cost of treatment can be expensive. However, payment plans are available for those who are self-paying or are not covered by the major insurance carriers.
